These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Shilpax at shilpax.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Shilpax.
1. Eligibility
Shilpax is intended for candidates preparing for Government Competitive Exams and the teachers or tutors who support them. You must be able to form a binding contract to use Shilpax; if you are under 18, you may use it only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential.
- Your account is for your personal use only — do not share it with others.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
3. Subscriptions and payment
- Some features (“Pro”) require a paid subscription, billed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) through PayHere.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Prices may change; we will give notice before a change affects you.
Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund Policy.
4. Intellectual property
All content on Shilpax — including questions, past papers, explanations, videos, and the software itself — is owned by Shilpax or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own study. You may not copy, record, redistribute, resell, or publish our content, in whole or in part, without our written permission.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share, sell, or transfer your account or our content.
- Scrape, copy, or bulk-download content, or reverse-engineer the platform.
- Disrupt the service or attempt to access it in unauthorised ways.
- Misbehave during live classes or harass other users.
6. Live classes
Live classes are delivered through Zoom and may be recorded for the benefit of enrolled students. By joining, you consent to such recording and agree to behave respectfully.
7. Disclaimers
Shilpax is provided “as is”. We work hard on quality, but we do not guarantee any particular exam result or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shilpax is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 3 months.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms (for example, account sharing or content theft), without refund where the breach is serious.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
